From call to loaded

You will know the price before the truck moves

All six steps
  1. 01

    You call, we answer

    Under 60 seconds

A person picks up, not a queue. Usually the person who will send the truck.

  2. 02

Fixed price, agreed before we move

    On the same call

A single number covering the call-out, the recovery and the drop-off.

  3. 03

    Nearest truck dispatched

    Typically 10–45 min

You get a realistic ETA and the driver's details, then updates if anything slips.

Direct dispatch vs membership cover

Why people call useven when they have cover

National breakdown cover is good value for what it is. It is just rarely the fastest way to get a vehicle moved, because your job still ends up with a recovery operator like us — after the queue, the triage and the allocation.

Rapid Recovery
National provider
Who answers
The person who dispatches the truck, and often drives it
A national call centre, typically after a queue
What it costs
Fixed price agreed on the call, no call-out fee
Included in an annual policy — until you exceed its limits
Who actually comes
A flatbed from the nearest available unit
A subcontracted operator, usually chosen on price
How your car travels
On the bed, wheels off the road
Depends entirely on which contractor turns up
Where it goes
Your garage, your driveway or a secure yard — your choice
Often the nearest approved garage, within a mileage cap
If you are not a member
No difference. Call and we quote
Join first, then wait out the cover-starts delay

Already have cover? Use it if you are not in a hurry. If you are, call us and claim the cost back afterwards — most policies reimburse.

The questionswe get most

If yours is not here, ring and ask. We would rather spend two minutes on the phone than have you guess.

All 9 questions

Or just call 07440 702667.

How quickly can you get to me?

Once a unit is assigned it is typically 30 to 60 minutes in a town or city, and longer if you are somewhere rural or on a long stretch of trunk road. When you call we will give you a realistic time, not an optimistic one — if we cannot get to you quickly we will say so rather than leave you waiting.

Where in the UK do you cover?

Every major city and county in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Recovery is dispatched to the nearest available unit, and booked vehicle transport runs anywhere in the UK on a route price agreed in advance. If you are somewhere remote, call and we will tell you honestly what we can do.

Do I need to be a member of anything?

No. There is no membership, subscription or policy number. You call, we quote, we come out. That is the whole process — which is why we are often faster than a national breakdown provider even when you already have cover.

What does it cost?

You get a fixed price on the phone before we set off, based on where you are, where the vehicle needs to go and what is wrong with it. There is no call-out fee on top and no per-hour meter running. If the job turns out to be different from what was described we will talk to you before doing anything that changes the price.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry public liability cover and goods-in-transit cover for the vehicles we move, so your vehicle is insured while it is on our truck. Ask on the call if you need the certificate details for an insurer or fleet operator.
