Vehicle Recovery & Flatbed Towing Across the UK
Tilt-and-slide flatbed recovery for cars, vans and 4x4s — your vehicle travels on the bed, not on its wheels.

What it is
Our flatbed recovery trucks lift your vehicle clear of the road, so there is no wear on the gearbox, drivetrain or tyres in transit. That matters for automatics, four-wheel-drive vehicles, EVs and anything with a seized wheel — all of which can be damaged by conventional rope or suspended towing. We recover from the roadside, car parks, driveways, multi-storey levels with adequate clearance, and motorway hard shoulders.
What you get
- Cars, vans, 4x4s and light commercials
- Safe for automatics, EVs and 4WD drivetrains
- Recovery to your home, chosen garage or a secure yard
- Fully insured loading and transit
Worth knowing: Up to 3.5 tonnes on the flatbed. Anything heavier, longer or wider than a Transit needs discussing first so we send the right vehicle rather than turning up and disappointing you.
When you need it
Four situationsthis covers
If one of these sounds like your afternoon, this is the right page. If none of them do, ring anyway — we will work it out with you.
The vehicle cannot be driven
A gearbox that will not select, a clutch on the floor, a snapped driveshaft or a locked wheel. Anything where turning the wheels is either impossible or would make things worse.
It is an automatic, a 4x4 or an EV
These should not be towed on their wheels at all. On the flatbed the drivetrain never turns, which is the difference between a recovery and a repair bill.
It needs to get somewhere specific
Your own mechanic rather than the nearest approved garage. A main dealer for warranty work. A bodyshop. Your driveway. We go where you tell us.
It is somewhere awkward
A multi-storey level with clearance, a tight courtyard, soft ground, a farm track. Skates and the winch deal with most of it — tell us on the call and we will bring the right kit.
What it costs
One fixed price, agreed on the call
Priced on distance, time of day, whether the vehicle rolls and how accessible it is. No call-out fee and no hourly meter — and if the job turns out different from the description, we ring you before anything changes.

Can my car be towed, or does it need a flatbed?
Rope towing is fine for some cars and expensive for others. Which is which, and why we run flatbeds instead.

Questions about this job
Is a flatbed really necessary, or is that an upsell?
For an older manual front-wheel-drive car in neutral, a suspended tow is usually harmless and a flatbed is simply kinder. For an automatic, a four-wheel drive or anything electric, it is not an upsell — it is the difference between arriving with a broken car and arriving with a broken car plus a damaged gearbox.
Can you recover a vehicle with no keys?
Often, yes — the winch pulls it on and skates handle the steering. It takes longer, which affects the price, and we will need proof you are entitled to move the vehicle.
Will it fit in a multi-storey car park?
That depends on the height restriction, which is why we ask. If the flatbed will not fit, we can usually bring the vehicle out to street level on skates and load there.
Can you carry two vehicles?
Not on one flatbed. Two vehicles means two runs or two trucks, and we will price it that way rather than pretending otherwise.
