A direct operator,not a call centre
Rapid Recovery Service is a UK-wide vehicle recovery operator. Not a call centre, not a broker taking a cut and passing your job down a chain — the person who answers the phone is the person who dispatches the truck, and often the person driving it.
Why we started it
Anyone who has broken down knows the pattern: forty minutes on hold, a two-hour window that turns into four, and a driver who has no idea what was promised. We built this around the opposite — one number, a straight answer, and a price agreed before the truck moves.
How we work
Flatbeds only. It costs more to run tilt-and-slide trucks than a rope and a tow hitch, but it is the only way to move a modern automatic, a four-wheel-drive or an electric car without risking the drivetrain. If your vehicle is on our truck, its wheels are not turning.
What we will not do
We will not quote a number to win the job and revise it on arrival. We will not change a wheel on the offside of a live carriageway because it is quicker than loading up. And we will not tell you we are twenty minutes away when we are an hour out — if we cannot get to you quickly, we would rather you called someone who can.

Flatbeds cost more to run than a tow hitch. They are also the only way to move a modern automatic, 4x4 or EV without risking the drivetrain.

109 cities and counties as standard, and booked transport anywhere between them. We dispatch the nearest available flatbed and give you the arrival time we actually believe — including when that answer is “not quickly enough”.
