We do not sell packages or memberships — this is just how the work divides up, and roughly where each type sits on cost.
Roadside
Fixed at the kerb
Best for: Flat batteries, punctures, fuel, keys locked in

What moves the number
Six things,and nothing hidden
If you know these, you can tell a real quote from one designed to win the call and get revised on arrival.

- The single biggest factor. We price the loaded run from where you are to where the vehicle is going, plus getting the truck to you in the first place.
- Time of day Out-of-hours surcharge
- Between 8am and 6pm is standard rate. Nights, weekends and bank holidays carry a surcharge, because somebody is getting out of bed for it.
- Whether it rolls Non-runner surcharge
- A car that steers and rolls goes straight up the bed. A seized wheel, a snapped driveshaft or accident damage means winching, skates and more time on scene.
- Where it is parked Difficult-access surcharge
- A driveway or a hard shoulder is straightforward. Multi-storey car parks with low clearance, tight courtyards, soft ground and ditches all take longer and sometimes need different kit.
- Vehicle size and weight Quoted case by case
- Cars, vans and light commercials are all standard flatbed work. Anything heavier, longer or wider than a Transit needs to be discussed before we set off.
- What it does not change No hidden extras
- There is no call-out fee, no hourly meter, no fuel surcharge and no charge for the roadside attempt if we end up recovering you anyway.
Paying
Money questions
When do I pay?
On completion, once the vehicle is where you asked for it. We take card, cash or bank transfer, and you get a receipt with the job reference on it. We do not ask for card details up front.
Is VAT included in the quote?
The VAT position is made clear at the time of quoting, so the figure you agree is the figure you pay. Ask on the call and we will confirm it explicitly.
Can I claim it back on my breakdown policy?
Often, yes. Many policies reimburse third-party recovery when their own provider could not attend in reasonable time. Keep the receipt and the job reference, and check your policy wording — we cannot promise what your insurer will accept.
Do you charge more at night?
Yes, there is an out-of-hours rate for nights, weekends and bank holidays. It is in the figure we quote on the call, not added afterwards.
Is there a charge if the roadside fix works?
You pay for the roadside job, which is cheaper than a recovery. If the fix does not hold and we end up recovering you anyway, there is no second call-out charge.
Do you do accounts for garages and trade?
Yes. Garages, bodyshops and dealers can run monthly accounts with agreed route rates rather than being quoted job by job. Email us for terms.
